Carole Glenn believes that music is an amazing force which can create connections between people and lift them to the heights. She made this discovery at an early age, singing in sacred services and around the campfire at Scout camp. Throughout the years, the love of music and the understanding of its power have guided Carole to devote her life to its creation.

Carole is a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) employed by Franciscan Hospice of Tacoma, WA, and Hospice of Kitsap County, Silverdale, WA. Carole brings music to the bedside of those who are ill, birthing, or transitioning. The use of therapeutic music adds beauty and comfort to these life situations. As a CMP, Carole is a graduate of the Music for Healing and Transition Program (www.mhtp.org.)

Carole received a BA in Music Education and Elementary Education from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. Here she participated in the UOP A Cappella Choir and toured annually with the group throughout the western United States and Canada. Singing with that talented group was one of the highlights of her university career.

Her MA in Music Education was received from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA. For her thesis she interviewed outstanding choral conductors throughout the United States to learn their secrets for creating choral music. This work was published by Hinshaw Music, Inc. as “In Quest of Answers: Interviews with American Choral Conductors.”

She also received her Doctorate of Spiritual Studies from the Alohem Center for Transformational Studies. She has long been deeply involved with spiritual matters, a natural connection with the essence of music.

Before becoming a CMP, Carole taught junior high choral music in Modesto, CA, and Silverdale, WA. She was involved with and served as Northern California President of the American Choral Directors Association.

In addition to her musical activities, Carole enjoys photography and traveling. During the past few years she has explored Europe, Tibet, Nepal, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea, China, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Egypt, and Israel.

In the Fall of 2010, Carole received the mantle of leadership for the Alohem Center for Transformational Studies. This is a deeply spiritual group founded by her mother, June d’Estelle who passed on the mantle. This is a hugely important role in which she now spends much of her energies.
