Genevieve Tep started her teaching career at Carlmont High School in 2004. As the Director of Carlmont Choirs Mrs. Tep grew the program from three classes and 50 kids to 5 classes, three a cappella groups, and enrollment of nearly 150 singers. Choirs under her direction have toured Seattle, Southern California, New York City and Carnegie Hall. Mrs. Tep is a former Carlmont PTSA Teacher of the Year, Carlmont Teacher of the Year, Sequoia UnionHigh School District Teacher of the Year, and 2021 California Choral Directors Association Choir Director of the Year. ​
