2026 All-State Honor Choirs

January 15th-17th, 2026

Conductors:
Dr. Alyssa Cossey (Coastal Carolina University) - JH SATB
Dr. Sandra Babb (Oregon State) - JH SSAA
Dr. Sandra Snow (Michigan State) - HS SATB
Dr. Erin Plisco (Missouri State)- HS SSAA
Dr. David Morrow (Morehouse College) - HS TTBB

Rehearsals will be held on the campus of Sacramento State University on Thursday and Friday, January 15 and 16, 2026. Check-in will open at 11:00am on Thursday, January 15th.

The All-State Choir concerts will be held at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, January 17th, 2025.
- Concert 1 - JHS SATB, JHS SSAA, & HS SATB - 11:00-1:00pm
- Concert 2 - HS SSAA & HS TTBB - 1:30-3:00pm

Audition Instructions

High School Honor Choir (grades 9-12): Auditions for the 2026 High School All-State Honor Choirs are done via the 2025 Regional Honor Choirs. See the Central & Coastal Honor Choir Page for more information on those events.

Middle School/Junior High (grades 6-9): Auditions for the 2026 Junior High School All-State Honor Choirs will be in the fall this year. 2026 audition Information is available linked here.

by August 1: Audition information posted on Regional Honor Choir page
September 8 (Monday): Regional Honor Choir online audition sign-ups due
​by September 12: Central and Coastal Region Honor Choir audition times emailed to directors and auditionees
September 20 and 27 (Saturday): Regional Honor Choir auditions
by October 3: Audition results emailed to directors and auditionees
October 17 (Friday): Regional Honor Choir online registration and payment due
November 6-8 (Thurs-Sat): Regional Honor Choirs
by November 14: All-State Honor Choir lists posted; online registration link and sheet music PDFs and part learning tracks sent
December 3 (Wednesday): All-State online registration and payment due
January 15-17 (Thurs-Sat): All-State Honor Choir at CASMEC in Sacramento

Audition fee: $15
Central/Coastal Regional Honor Choir fee (does not include hotel and meals): TBD

All-State Honor Choir fee (includes hotel and meals): ​TBD
Some financial assistance may be available for both the Regional and All-State Honor Choir fees - application information will be included in the audition sign-up and/or registration form.
