SUSIE MARTONE
Frank S. Greene, Jr. Middle School Choral Director
Susie Martone is the choral director at Frank S. Greene Middle School in Palo Alto, California. Susie grew up singing in school choirs and pursued a formal music education at James Madison University and Florida State University, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in music education. She taught elementary music and high school chorus in Fairfax, Virginia, where her choirs regularly received excellent and superior ratings at festivals and competitions, before relocating to the Bay Area in 2009. Susie taught in Marin County, CA for seven years, where she built the choral program at White Hill Middle School and founded a community youth choir, which led to the reinstatement of the choral program at Redwood High School. Susie has performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a member of the Washington Chorus, as well as other venues with choral groups in Washington, DC and San Francisco.
