Characteristics of an ideal Honor Choir Conductor

• Pedagogical expertise (firsthand knowledge)
• Experience teaching the age group
• Prompt and effective communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge/awareness of contemporary programming trends
• Previous honor choir experience preferred
• For All-State: NOT an active college/university conductor in California (retirees are eligible for nomination)
