Job Description
The Peninsula Girls Chorus (Burlingame, CA) is seeking dynamic Conducting Interns for its Allegra (ages 9–11) and Brava (ages 10–14) choir levels for the 2026-2027 season. Designed for conductors who are early in their career, this role allows interns to work alongside lead conductors to teach vocal technique, music literacy (Kodály approach), and diverse choral repertoire. This hands-on position includes leading warmups, running sectionals, and co-conducting two major annual concerts and community performances.

Applicant Requirements/Qualifications
This role is ideal for early-career conductors who possess substantial choral experience, including knowledge of vocal pedagogy. Qualified candidates must be dynamic educators capable of engaging youth and modeling a beautiful, healthy vocal tone. Applicants should also demonstrate a strong understanding of musical scores and interpretation, and have basic piano proficiency for teaching single vocal lines.
