Community Choir Director - Hillcrest Retirement Community

Position available: Director for Retirement Community Choir (East LA County/LaVerne).

Job Description: Director retiring after mid-December 2025 concert. Averages 30-35 members. SATB, some music readers, some not. Non-auditioned, but they take it quite seriously and sing their hearts out.  Current program is two Friday evening concerts per year for the community and guests, December and May, with a 14-week season of weekly rehearsals in the community’s chapel. Ample music library with Excel file inventory.  Terrific support from a brilliant collaborative pianist beloved by the singers.  Small stipend available.  Great opportunity for newer conductors or late-career professionals willing to adapt to the needs of these senior singers, who will inspire you with their enthusiasm and dedication to community singing as a lifelong art form.
